On December 20, 2024, the Health Resources and Services Administration’s (HRSA) HIV/AIDS Bureau (HAB) shared the following announcement with Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program (RWHAP) and HAB Ending the HIV Epidemic in the U.S. (EHE) recipients, subrecipients, stakeholders, national partners, and federal colleagues.
Dear Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program Colleagues,
Today, the Health Resources and Services Administration’s (HRSA) HIV/AIDS Bureau (HAB) released the Ryan White Program 2030 (RWP 2030) (PDF, 294KB) program letter. This framework is designed to sustain high-quality care and treatment for people currently receiving services through the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program (RWHAP) while expanding efforts to identify and engage individuals with HIV who are undiagnosed or out-of-care.
RWP 2030 integrates lessons learned from the RWHAP and the Ending the HIV Epidemic in the U.S. (EHE) initiative to sustain high-quality care and treatment for those currently receiving RWHAP services while expanding our reach to ensure timely diagnosis and sustained treatment for underserved communities. This vision calls on the HIV community to establish and strengthen partnerships, prioritize community engagement, and utilize focused interventions to end the HIV epidemic.
Over the next few months, HRSA HAB will develop additional guidance and tools to support your efforts in implementing RWP 2030. To ensure RWP 2030 reflects the needs and perspectives of the community, HRSA HAB will also host a series of listening sessions in 2025 to gather insights on challenges and opportunities related to implementing this vision.
We are confident that, with your dedication and partnership, we can achieve the ambitious goals of RWP 2030 and move closer to ending the HIV epidemic in the U.S. To access the letter, visit: https://ryanwhite.hrsa.gov/sites/default/files/ryanwhite/grants/rw-program-letter-2030.pdf (PDF, 294KB).
If you have any questions, please contact your HRSA HAB Project Officer.
Thank you for your ongoing commitment to improving the lives of people with HIV.
Sincerely,
Laura W. Cheever and Heather Hauck
