The second day of the 20th International AIDS Conference (AIDS 2014Exit Disclaimer) in Melbourne, Australia was filled with scientific findings shared by researchers from around the world. We caught up again with Dr. Carl Dieffenbach, Director of the Division of AIDS at NIH’s National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases during which his colleague, Dr. Anthony Fauci, Director of NIAID, and Dr. Peter Doherty, a Nobel Laureate and immunologist from Australia, discussed current efforts to find an HIV cure and vaccine.
