Topics
RegisterExit Disclaimer for an open, virtual gathering to discuss mpox research.
When: Friday, March 31, 2023, at 9:30am ET (U.S. and Canada)
In close collaboration with members of the research and advocacy community, the United States Government (USG) will convene an open, virtual gathering to discuss mpox research on March 31, 2023. To maximize time for discussion during the gathering, pre-recorded video presentations will be posted for pre-meeting viewing. These brief videos will present the current landscape of USG-supported mpox research. Subsequent discussion will focus on community input on current efforts and the way forward given the trajectory of this outbreak.
Be Prepared
Pre-Review Materials: Four videos will be posted on HIV.gov one week prior to the Mpox Research Gathering as pre-meeting viewing for participants. These presentations will not be repeated during the gathering, so it is imperative that participants familiarize themselves with the content and come prepared for discussion.
Discussion: The Mpox Research Gathering discussion will be based on content presented in the recorded presentations and will be facilitated using a series of discussion questions developed collaboratively with members of the research and advocacy community.
