At HIV.gov, we leverage social media tools to extend the reach of Federal HIV/AIDS policies, programs, and resources. When we are able to attend HIV-related conferences, we host HIV.gov Social Media Labs to provide free technical assistance on using social media, and to assist AIDS service organizations (ASOs) and Federal HIV programs to extend their stakeholder outreach. While the HIV.gov Social Media Labs continue to be wonderful opportunities to meet the HIV community, we recognize that limited conference travel has made it difficult for many in our community to avail themselves of this free, in-person, social media support. Therefore, as an online extension of the HIV.gov Social Media Labs, we are launching HIV.gov Virtual Office Hours.Like the HIV.gov Social Media Labs, our new HIV.gov Virtual Office Hours will offer you one-on-one time with an HIV.gov social media expert to ask questions about new media tools, learn strategies that are well-suited to your HIV outreach, and share your organization’s best practices. Each week during Virtual Office Hours, you will be able to connect virtually with HIV.gov and receive social media support from wherever you are! You can make an appointment just for yourself, or invite other team members who may want to learn about social media.
What are Virtual Office Hours?
